Stick & Puck

Stick & Puck is a time to enhance your skills, connect with hockey players around the community, a place to come with your friends or for private lessons on shared ice.

  • Participation in drop-in programs can be purchased and reserved ahead of time online via DaySmart or purchased onsite.
  • Pre-payment reservations sales are final and non-refundable.
  • Punch-card purchases are available through your DaySmart account. Punch-cards are non-refundable.

Pick up Hockey

$15 per game

Pick Up Hockey is available to all players 16+. Games will provide an opportunity for players to improve skills in a relaxed game environment with no body checking. All players must check-in, pay and sign waiver prior to stepping on ice.

Player max: 20, Goalie max: 3. All players wear full gear. Pucks will be provided.

Goalies: Please register on the goalie tab. 

  1. Private lessons are permitted for Iceplex staff coaches. All visiting coaches must be approved by Iceplex Hockey manager 7 days in advance. 
  2. Players must register online and check-in before going on to the ice. Players that fail to do so will be asked to leave the ice.
  3. Each session has a start and end time. Players may not go out earlier than their paid session start time. Players may not enter the ice until the Zamboni has exited, the nets are out, and the doors are closed. 
  4. Stick & Puck sessions are intended for skill development. These sessions are not for Pick-Up hockey. There will be no scrimmages, games, one-on-ones, two-on-ones, etc.
  5. Full equipment is required for ages 17 and under. For ages 18 and over, full equipment is highly recommended. The minimum equipment required for ages 18 and over is a helmet (facemasks are strongly recommended), shin pads, sticks, and gloves.
  6. Players under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
  7. The use of the locker rooms will be permitted for Stick & Puck participants. However, Iceplex does not supervise the use of these rooms. All participants and parents of minors using the locker rooms, agree to hold the Iceplex harmless and relinquish all claims as a result of any activity or issues resulting while using the locker rooms.
  8. No players may take off his/her helmet or raise their facemask while on the ice or in the bench area.
  9. No one may assume the role of playing goalie without wearing ALL of the appropriate goalie equipment. Care and right of way must be given to coaches and their student.
  10. The radio is not to be played during Stick & Puck.
  11. No food, gum, or usage of chewing tobacco is allowed on the ice.
  12. No spectators are allowed in the bench area.
  13. Coaching by parents from the bleachers, benches or railing is not allowed at any time. Parents will be asked to leave the arena if this happens.
  14. All doors are to remain closed while pucks are on the ice.
  15. Pucks must be picked up by the end of the session. Nets are to be pushed to the exit door, where the nets are stored by the end of the session.
  16. Players may not involve themselves in any activities which would alter the ice surface or damage the Ice Center.
  17. Rude or unsportsmanlike behavior and/or language will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the ice. Management reserves the right to terminate the disruptive or rude behavior.
  18. Players may be expelled from the ice without refund or credit by Iceplex staff for reasons including, but not limited to disruption and hazard.
  19. Limited to a maximum of 25 skaters (including goalies) on a first come, first-serve basis.
  20.  Youth 14U: Sessions are limited to 20 skaters and 5 BFI staff coaches or JR Firebird coaches.
  1. Players must check-in at the Welcome Center and have a signed waiver before stepping on the ice.
  2. Players must be 16 years or older.
  3. All sessions are non-checking, recreational play only.
  4. All skaters must wear full gear including helmet, facemask recommended.
  5. No slap shots.
  6. Nets must stay on long ends of ice.
  7. No organized team practices or scrimmages.
  8. No lessons are permitted.
  9. No food, gum, or usage of chewing tobacco is allowed on the ice.
  10. Pucks must be picked up by the end of the session. Nets are to be pushed to the exit door, where the nets are stored by the end of the session.
  11. Iceplex reserves the right to revoke a player’s privileges due to unsportsmanlike conduct.
  12. Skaters participate at their own risk.
  13. Goalies must check in at the front desk.
  14. Times subject to change.
  15. All Sales Final. No Refunds. No Transfers to players, dates, or times.
  16. If you are caught on the ice without paying first, you will be asked to leave and not able to return for the current session.
  17. Players may not enter the ice until the Zamboni has exited, the nets are out, and the doors are closed.
