LIL' Firebirds YOUTH Learn To Play
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED | ADULT LEARN TO PLAY REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN!
The Berger Foundation Iceplex offers a path from beginner to player through six Learn To Play Sessions per year. Each Session lasts 7-Weeks. Skaters registered in Learn to Play will receive one free public skate admission on class day.Â

REGISTER
In addition to learning beginner hockey fundamentals, each player will be sized for a complete set of custom NHL Learn to Play hockey equipment partnered with Seattle Kraken and receive a free one-year USA Hockey membership number.
This program is only available for first time players. Kids with prior hockey experience should register for Firebirds Youth Rec League or The Coachella Valley Jr Firebirds Travel Club.
Ages:
- 5-9; co-ed
Pre-Requisite
- No experience necessary
Duration:
- 7-Week session/ 45-min group classes / 1 session per week
Equipment:
- Lil’ Firebirds Jersey included
- Players receive an 11-piece kit of custom fitted gear from Pure Hockey: jersey, helmet, stick, skates, gloves, hockey socks, hockey pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards & hockey bag.Â
- You will be sent a link upon registration for Pure Hockey gear sizing and orders to be sent directly to your house.
Children ages 5-9 must complete L2P1 Â or similar experience prior to enrolling for the FB Youth Rec League.
For ages 10+ who have not completed L2P1 or have not had previous equivalent experience must first complete Basic Skating 1 before enrolling for the FB Youth Rec League. Equipment required. Register for Basic 1 skating HERE.

REGISTER
This program is designed for adults (18+) who have never played hockey or have minimal experience. Upon completion of this program, players have the opportunity to progress into the Adult Hockey League. Players should have completed a Learn to Skate series prior to registering. Full equipment is required.

Need a sharper edge on your blades? Stop by the Welcome Center to drop off your own hockey skates to be sharpened for just $15. We cannot guarantee immediate turnaround for sharpening.
