Come Ice Skate!

Come skate where your Coachella Valley Firebirds train! The Berger Foundation Iceplex is located in the same building as Acrisure Arena. Bring your family and friends, get some exercise, learn a new skill or join fellow Firebird fans for public skate sessions daily.

SATURDAY HIGH SCHOOL SKATE

Time:

Saturdays, 7:15pm-8:45pm

Attention High Schoolers! Flash your high school ID and skate the night away for FREE on Saturday evenings.

Public ice skating sessions

We offer two Public Skate sessions. The Public Skate is open for all ages and levels. Adult Public Skate (18+) is for 18-year olds and older.

We encourage guests to pre-register for faster check-in.

  • $15 per session 
  • $5 skate rental
    • Socks are required! (Long socks are recommended) 
    • Skate sizes are true to shoe size. There are no half sizes, whole sizes only.
  • High School Students with a valid current ID skate FREE during our Saturday evening Public Skates.
  • Digital Lockers are available to rent, with limited availability.
  • $10 skater aid rental. Skater Aids must stay in designated area. 
  • Children under 4-years-old skate free and are not required to sign-up on DaySmart.
  • Save! $280 for a 20x punch pass (Not valid on Adult Public Skate)
  1. Private lessons are permitted for Iceplex staff coaches. All visiting coaches must be approved by Iceplex Hockey Manager 7 days in advance. 
  2. All skaters must register online or purchase at the Welcome Center and check-in before going on to the ice. Skaters that fail to do so will be asked to leave the ice.
  3. Each session has a start and end time. Skaters may not go out earlier than their paid session start time. Skaters may not enter the ice until the Zamboni has exited, the nets are out, and the doors are closed. Skaters must leave the ice when their session ends, regardless of when they got on the ice.
  4. There will be no hockey sticks, scrimmages, games, one-on-ones, two-on-ones, or other hockey activities.
  5. No players may take off his/her helmet or raise their facemask while on the ice.
  6. No food, gum, or usage of chewing tobacco is allowed on the ice.
  7. No spectators are allowed in the bench area.
  8. Skaters may not involve themselves in any activities which would alter the ice surface or damage the Ice Center.
  9. Rude or unsportsmanlike behavior and/or language will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the ice. Management reserves the right to terminate the disruptive or rude behavior.
  10. Skaters may be expelled from the ice without refund or credit by Iceplex staff for reasons including, but not limited to disruption and hazard.
  11. Limited to a maximum of 175 skaters on a first come, first-serve basis.
  12.  When the Zamboni horn sounds, all skaters and coaches must leave the ice immediately. NO EXCEPTIONS. 

uPON ARRIVAL FOR PUBLIC SKATING

All guests will need to check-in at the Welcome Center to:

  • Confirm their DaySmart pre-purchase
  • Receive their Public Skating admission sticker
  • Receive rental skates, if pre-ordered. Skates available for rent for $5, first come – first served. SOCKS REQUIRED.
  • Provide your license plate for 3-hour complimentary parking

*Public Skating purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Schedule subject to change without notice. All sessions will be limited capacity.  

adult 18+ Public skate

Join us for a fun and supportive daily session for adults, ages 18 and over. 

A great time to skate and mingle with fellow skaters.

Open to all adults 18 and older and all levels of skaters. 

Admission: $12/session (skate rental not included)

Group Rates

We offer a group rate for 10 or more during our public skate session at $17.00 per person and includes ice skate rental.  Group size count must be confirmed prior to attending to ensure availability and paid a minimum one week prior to the session.

Payment would be in one transaction and nonrefundable for the group rate.

Fundraisers

We offer fundraising opportunities that may be a good option for your school, charity, or organization.

The fundraising program gives organizations a fun way to raise funds for their initiative while having fun on the ice at a discounted rate.

Berger Foundation Iceplex Fundraising program:

  • Select a public skating session at which to hold your fundraiser.
  • Book your fundraiser.
  • Design a flyer.
  • Submit the flyer for approval by Iceplex.
  • Print, and promote your fundraiser throughout your community.

For each person that returns a flyer or other communication document on specified fundraiser date when purchasing their discounted ticket, your group will receive $3.00 back!
