Adult Skating Lessons

ADULT SKATING

This curriculum is designed for the beginner skater. It will promote physical fitness and improve balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. Skaters will progress at an individual rate while being challenged and motivated. This is an exciting 7-week program for people who look to skating as an enjoyable part of a fit and healthy lifestyle.

PROGRAMS OFFERED:

Wednesdays or Saturdays

REGISTER

For skaters  ages 15+ who are new to the ice and/or have not had previous formal skating instruction. Basic forward skating and stopping skills are taught along with balancing on one and two feet.  Adult 1 focuses on the skills in Learn to Skate USA’s levels ADULT 1.

For skaters ages 15+.  Adult 2 focuses on the skills in Learn to Skate USA’s level ADULT 2. Skaters must first successfully complete Adult 1 before enrolling in Adult 2. 

  • Must have accomplished Adult 1

For skaters ages 15+.   Adult 3 focuses on the skills in Learn to Skate USA’s level ADULT 3. Skaters must successfully complete Adult 2 before enrolling in this class.  

  • Must have accomplished Adult 2

REGISTER

For skaters ages 15+. Must have passed the Adult 3 Class. In this workshop, skaters will work on skills for Adult 4 and up.

Classes will be divided into similar skill levels as needed.

REGISTER

This class is for novice to intermediate adult and teen hockey players focused on taking their on-ice movement to the next level. It’s perfect for adults who are 1-2 seasons into a league and want to master their edge control and stops.

What You’ll Sharpen:
Edge Work: Master precision and control.
Transitions: Tighten turns and improve agility.
Stops: Boost stopping power and consistency.
Game-Ready Movement: Enhance overall on-ice quickness.
Note: This is strictly a SKATING ONLY class. No sticks or pucks will be used during instruction.

Registration Requirements

  •  Skill Level: Participants must have completed a beginner-level skating course or possess equivalent foundational hockey skating skills prior to registering.
  •  Required Gear: Hockey helmet and hockey gloves.
  •  Optional: Full hockey gear.
